Description
This data layer was developed using the ZIP boundary layer provided by ESRI on their 9.1 version Data & Maps disc, and was further conflated using the ZIP code field in the county's parcel database. Polygons follow road centerlines as much as possible, but follow parcel lines where centerline snapping is not applicable. This data layer was created in accordance with requirements of the CLEMIS (Courts and Law Enforcement Management Information System) dispatching system, and with the review and approval of applicable Local Units of Government (LUGs) in Washtenaw County. This layer was created to allow Washtenaw County to create an intersection database for use in CLEMIS' NetRMS record management system. NOTE: The fields POP2004 and SUMBLKPOP were supplied by ESRI as part of the original layer and are not maintained by Washtenaw County., Purpose: To represent the location of ZIP districts in Washtenaw County for CLEMIS NetRMS system.
