Description
This collection of historic aerial photographs was taken in 1991 in response to a drought for the Susquehanna River Basin Commission (SRBC). This collection includes 1,327 photos. These photos are at a scale of 1:12000. Center point index files were created through a georeferencing process. This collection contains missions/locations with the following coverage areas: length of the Susquehanna River from Binghamton, NY to Havre De Grace, MD (except a stretch of the river from Dauphin, PA to Columbia, PA), length of the West Branch Susquehanna River from Renovo, PA to Northumberland, PA, length of the Chemung River from Corning, NY to Sayre, PA, length of the Juniata River Raystown Branch from Saxton, PA to Mill Creek, PA, length of the Juniata River from Huntingdon, PA to Duncannon, PA, and the length of the Lackawanna River from Carbondale, PA to Pittston, PA. This collection was given to the Donald W. Hamer Center for Maps and Geospatial Information by the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Bureau of Geological Survey Library. The photos were scanned at 800 dpi on an Epson Expression 11000 scanner by the Donald W. Hamer Center for Maps and Geospatial Information.
