Description
A survey map of the upper half of Higgins Township in Roscommon County, Michigan. The township lines were originally measured in 1838 and 1839; the southern township boundary, the eastern township boundary of Section 12 and 13, and the subdivision lines were re-measured in 1852. Note: the City of Roscommon is located around Sections 5 - 8. In addition, while the map says that the township lines were measured in 1837, the field notes are dated 1838 and 1839.
