Description
The current boundary of the Maryland-Washington Metropolitan District, as defined in Annotated Code 1957, Article 28, Section 3-102 and Section 3-106 through 3-107, 7-103, last amended (Section 3-101 repealed) by Chapter 426 Section 1,from House Bill 1290, Acts of 2012, where the boundaries of the Metropolitan District are the same as those existed on October 1, 2012, excluding the Cities of Greenbelt, District Heights, and Laurel along with most of Election District 10 (west of Laurel), the Aquasco area (Election District 8), and the Nottingham are (Elections District 4). The Metropolitan District is used to claculate the assessable base for the Park Fund portion of the M-NCPPC tax rate; the Regional District Bouandry is used to calculate the Administration Fund and the Entire County is used to calculate the Recreation Fund and Advanced Land Acquisition (ALA) Fund. This coverage, developed and maintained by the Planning Department, is suitable for presentation at a scale of 1:12,000. Boundaries which are not associated with road rights-of-way are shown in their approximate location. This coverage is not suitable for the identification of individual parcels.
