Description
These two datasets provides an overview of Office of Professional Standards (OPS) cases and Civilian Police Review Board (CPRB) hearings. It allows users to monitor the real-time status of all active OPS cases, look up the progress of individual cases, and explore historical CPRB rulings dating back to 2020. The Office of Professional Standards (OPS) is responsible for receiving and investigating complaints filed by members of the public against Cleveland Division of Police employees. We complete our investigations in a fair and impartial manner. Then, in a public hearing, we present our findings to the Civilian Police Review Board (CPRB), a committee made up of unbiased citizens independent of the police, for disposition. The mission of OPS and CPRB is to increase accountability and improve public confidence in the police by receiving and fairly, thoroughly, objectively, and timely investigating and resolving misconduct complaints against Cleveland Division of Police employees.
