Description
The Upper Connecticut River Aquatic Organism Passage Working Group, composed of state and local partners, has worked to develop a list of priority culverts for replacement. The selected culverts maximize connectivity for Eastern brook trout and the replacement will improve natural stream function; interests from partner groups were taken into consideration during the review and selection process. Using persistence modeling, developed by the Eastern Brook Trout Joint Venture, projects are focused in areas within the basin where brook trout are expected to survive increasing future climatic conditions.
