This layer quantifies the yearly econoimc calue of groundwater recharge across Maryland. Economic values are based on several factors, including the average municipal price of water in Maryland , value of water for recreation, and the cost of investment in watershed protection. These values average $0.35 per m3 water. This service totals $1.26 billion for Maryland yearly. This data layer was created as part of the Maryland Department of Natural Resources "Accounting for Maryland's Ecosystem Services" program.This is a MD iMAP hosted service.
