Description
The dataset includes locations of habitat restoration and protection projects completed in the St. Louis River Area of Concern and described in a report titled: Habitat Restoration and Protection: St. Louis River Area of Concern, October 2020 (https://files.dnr.state.mn.us/waters/watermgmt_section/river/slrri/habitat-restoration-protection-slraoc-minneosta.pdf ). These projects are not included as management actions in the 2013 Remedial Action Plan but warrant consideration when evaluating removal of Beneficial Use Impairments related to loss of fish and wildlife habitat and degraded fish and wildlife populations. , These data provide information useful for evaluation of progress restoring and protecting habitat in the Minnesota portion of the St. Louis River Area of Concern., The dataset includes shape files assembled in 2019 and 2020 from multiple sources. Some were were digitized over the most current aerial photos available in 2019, others were imported from MN DNR or City of Duluth geodatabases that were up to date as of 2019.
