Land Use Inventory for Northeast Illinois: Chicago, 2013

Description:

Geodatabase and supporting documentation depicting land use in northeast Illinois broken out to 60 categories. This dataset is considered an update of the 2010 parcel-based Land Use Inventory, and the primary focus was on parcels whose assessment records or geometry had changed between 2010 - 2013, suggesting a change in land use. Parcels were dissolved on common land use types, and polygons were generated for non-parcel areas (such as road rights-of-way) and assigned a general classification based on supplementary reference datasets. Version 2 of the 2013 Inventory includes numerous corrections to errors identified during the 2015 Land Use Inventory production phase, and supersedes Version 1. Corrections are consistent with Version 3 of the 2010 Land Use Inventory. Posted 13 May 2020.
