Find more information on https://imap.maryland.gov.This layer was created using the Maryland Department of Natural Resources' (MDNR) 8-Digit Watersheds and Maryland Geologic Survey's (MGS) Physiographic Province data. MDNR 8-Digit Watershed file divides the state into 138 separate watersheds. MGS physiographic province file was primarily to show divisions between physiographic provinces within the state. The "MBSS IBI Strata" layer is used to determine which of the Index of Biotic Integrity (IBI) strata to use for calculations in a given watershed or at a given site(s).
