The data are organized in a horizontal form, with a row for each combination of State, Species, Data provider, Provider colony name, and Metric, and columns for each year between 2010 and 2022. Year columns store count data associated with the row combination. Counts are displayed in Dashboard Tables: as is in Site tables; summed in Map/Selection tables. The breeding data (which includes site locations and population counts) and metadata (which includes survey year, methodology, contact information, etc.) presented in the Atlas were collected, reviewed and shared by the following data providers: Alabama Audubon, the Alabama Department of Conservation & Natural Resources, Audubon Delta, the Deepwater Horizon Regionwide Trustee Implementation Group, the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission, the Gulf Islands National Seashore, and the Texas Colonial Waterbird Society. Data providers retain ownership of the data presented in the Atlas; users interested in using the data should contact providers before doing so.
