Description
This dataset will be ingested with other agency and bureau datasets in the seasketch application. SeaSketch: SeaSketch - Better decisions through global participation More information on the 3DEP Program led by the U.S. Geological Survey can be found here; https://nationalmap.gov/3DEP/ Scale Areas that are typically submitted are refuge boundaries and areas of critical habitat importance for threatened or endangered species. Accuracy: Areas of Interest need to be accurate at 1:500,000 scale. This gives enough detail for overlapping areas of interest. All areas of interest submitted in this dataset should have some kind of funding or planning associated with them. In past years, 3DEP collected all areas of interest with no regards to the visibility of funding for a specific AOI. This led to many areas of the country having multiple agencies of interest but no funding partners. Source: All data in this dataset has come from FWS personnel.
