The original refuge boundray feature class contains several refuges which are comprised of multiple units. For example, Alaska Peninsula NWR contains four units (Ugashik, Chignik, Pavlof, and North Creek). Alaska Maritime, Innoko, Togiak, and Yukon Delta also have multiple units. This configuration works well for most purposes, however some use cases require that each refuge be composed of only one overall polygon. To address this, the refuge boundaries were dissolved so that there is only one multipart polygon per refuge. This dissolved feature class is suitable for situations where the map should be zoomed to the extent of the entire refuge rather than to the extent of just one of the refuge units.</dc:description><dc:format>ArcGIS FeatureLayer</dc:format><dc:identifier>https://hub.arcgis.com/datasets/f5a60f96c2dd4787b8c561e799d809c1_0</dc:identifier><dc:language>eng</dc:language><dc:publisher>U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Open Data</dc:publisher><dc:rights>Public</dc:rights><dc:title>FWS R7 Realty NWRs dissolved feature layer [United States]</dc:title><dc:type>Web services</dc:type><dc:coverage>United States</dc:coverage><dc:date>Last Modified: 2025-08-25</dc:date></oai_dc:dc>
