- This dataset is a polygon shapefile of the spatial extents of rectified railroad valuation map images. The image corresponding to each of the map footprints contains information about the railroad ownership, the map roll number, sheet numbers and file name of the image., Image footprints were created to facilitate map access and file management through use of a spatial index retrieval system., The time period of the source data ranges between 1918 and 1974. The Minnesota Department of Transportation received the data from the Railroad and Warehouse Commission in 1974.
