Modeled wild rice presence data for 2023 were produced using satellite Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 remote sensing data, observation data from The Collaborative State Tribal Wild Rice Monitoring Program and Google Earth Engine. The process leverages the phenology of wild rice by using pre and post emergence satellite data. No accuracy assessment was conducted. , The purpose of these data are to model wild rice presence based on attributes from known observations and conditions. This will allow for improved understanding of trends in the spatial extent of wild rice over time.
