Description
Data portrayed in this feature layer was obtained by the Potomac River NWR Complex's Public Lands Transportation Fellow in March of 2020. She surveyed signage on Wildlife Drive with an applicationcalled Avenza and then created proposed signage based on existing conditions, keeping in mind future completion of a section of the Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail. With the multi-use trail being built right outside, signage on the refuge required an update for safety and informational purposes, thus the creation of this plan. The existing signage data collected for this project was also added to theNWRS Sign Inventory Dashboard.The Sign Inventory & Recommendations map was created mainly for refuge use, however other interested parties may obtain ideas from this project for their own refuge sign plans.
