Metropolitan Council of the Twin Cities AreaThis layer contains point locations for each of the Metropolitan Council's stream and river monitoring sites. Many of the sites are inactive but historic data is still available on the Council's Environmental Information Management System (EIMS). River sites are monitored to measure MCES wastewater treatment facility compliance with NPDES requirements and state water quality standards, as well as to document trends and changes in water quality.
