Satellite detected waters in Sirwah, and Ma'rib City districts of Yemen as of 5 August 2021.
Description
**UNOSAT code: FL20210729YEM** This map illustrates satellite-detected surface waters over Sirwah and Ma'rib City districts of Yemen as observed from a Sentinel-2 image acquired on 5 August 2021. From the previous preliminary flood assessment conducted on 2 August 2021, an additional 1.45 km2. Based on Worldpop population data and the detected surface waters, about 90 additional people may be potentially exposed or living close to flooded areas. This is a preliminary analysis and has not yet been validated in the field. Please send ground feedback to UNITAR- UNOSAT.
