NJDEP Bureau of Energy & SustainabilityIn May 2018, Governor Murphy directed the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (BPU) to create a 3-year pilot community solar program for the State, beginning in 2019. Since its inception, the BPU has granted conditional approvals to 45 community solar projects in Program Year 1, and an additional 105 projects in Program Year 2, which have been mapped in this dataset. As the program continues, and subsequent projects are awarded, they will be added to this dataset to provide a full and accurate representation of the spatial distribution of projects awarded under the Community Solar Program.
