U.S. Fish & Wildlife ServiceThis layer is part of an online application developed by the Atlantic Coast Joint Venture (ACJV) to display existing spatial layers with mapped waterfowl impoundments in the ACJV geography and to incorporate partner input on locations of impoundments that are not yet mapped within this layer. To help identify impoundments, the map displays layers with eBird checklist data from American Black Ducks (ABDU), Mallards (MALL), Black-bellied Whistling Ducks (BBWD), and Mottled Ducks (MODU) that contained the word "impoundment" in either the species comments or the locality name within the eBird data.
