Regional Parks and Trails Implementing Agencies - 2025 Annual Update [Minnesota]
Description
This is a dataset for the Regional Parks and Trails System of the 7-county Twin Cities metropolitan area. This dataset contains the annual aggregated Regional Parks and Trails data submitted by the 10-Regional Park Implementing Agencies that own and operate the regional parks and trails. The intent of this dataset is to represent regional park and trail units consistent with Met. Council approved long-range plans. A limited number of known inconsistencies exist that are planned to be updated in the next 2026 dataset. The data is validated and aggregated by the Met Council. This dataset is composed of five shapefiles. RPTRegionalTrails RPTSearchAreas RPTManagementBoundary RPTInholdings RPTAdministrativeBoundary , This dataset is intended to be used for portraying open and planned units of the Regional Parks and Trails System. Regional Trail Search Corridor and Regional Park Search Area data are for planning purposes only. This data does not represent specific park boundaries or trail alignments. , There were several resubmissions from agencies which resulted in the currentness of the data to extend from February 2025 - June 2025.
