A seawall (or sea wall) is a form of coastal defense constructed where the sea, and associated coastal processes, impact directly upon the landforms of the coast. The purpose of a seawall is to protect areas of human habitation, conservation and leisure activities from the action of tides and waves. As a seawall is a static feature it will conflict with the dynamic nature of the coast and impede the exchange of sediment between land and sea.</dc:description><dc:format>ArcGIS FeatureLayer</dc:format><dc:identifier>https://hub.arcgis.com/datasets/d37cbcd3933f4ce886bd685780bedf59_0</dc:identifier><dc:language>eng</dc:language><dc:publisher>King County GIS Open Data</dc:publisher><dc:rights>Public</dc:rights><dc:title>Seawall maintained by King County Roads Division [Washington (State)--King County]</dc:title><dc:type>Web services</dc:type><dc:coverage>Washington (State)--King County</dc:coverage><dc:coverage>Washington (State)</dc:coverage><dc:date>Last Modified: 2025-08-04</dc:date></oai_dc:dc>
