Michigan Dept. of Environment, Great Lakes, and EnergyThe Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE), through its Energy Unit and in partnership with Michigan electric utilities, is offering grants to support the strategic deployment of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across Michigan to support worry-free EV travel within the state, and to neighboring states and Canda. Optimal charger locations and quantities were identified in part through a Michigan State University study on EV infrastructure development in Michigan. This initiative aims to provide basic charging infrastructure throughout the state, supporting both long-distance travel and everyday trips within select urban areas. This data layer includes the address, charger type, operational status and number of chargers at each site for both DC Fast Chargers and Level 2 chargers funded through the Charge Up Michigan Program, as of July 2025. This dataset helps assess met and unmet infrastructure needs within the EV charging network, guiding future funding decisions for the Charge Up Michigan Program. Additionally, it highlights publicly accessible charging locations to support reliable travel across Michigan. This data will be updated on an as-needed basis.
