Details ReviewedThe 1958 Zoning Map and Text was the first completely rewritten/remapped zoning ordinance for Pittsburgh since it first adopted zoning in 1923. It is the first ordinance to combine use, area, and height regulations into a single layer of zoning districts. This ordinance remains the foundation of the current (2025) zoning ordinance, even though it underwent a significant overhaul in 1999. Details Reviewed created this map based on the map included in the May 1958 Zoning Ordinance available from the Pittsburgh City Archives.
