Within the analysed area of about 80,000 km², a total of about 6,500 km² of land appears to be affected by floodwaters. Based on Worldpop population data and the flood extent, approximately 800,000 people are potentially exposed or living close to flooded areas. This is a preliminary analysis and has not yet been validated in the field.
