It was originally published as part of the 1970 report "A Development and Renewal Program for Pittsburgh Summary Documentation," available from the Pittsburgh City Archives. The map shows three types of areas: (1) urban renewal projects started before 1970, (2) urban renewal projects proposed to begin in the early 1970s, and (3) other major development actions which often were highway development projects.
