Description
**UNOSAT code: FL20240919COD** This map illustrates satellite-detected surface waters in Ituri Province as observed from a Sentinel-2 image acquired on 18 Sep. 2024. Within the analysed area, about 15km² of lands appear to be affected with water increase. Based on Worldpop population data and the detected surface waters, about 2,300 people are potentially exposed to the water increase. This is a preliminary analysis and has not yet been validated in the field. Please send ground feedback to the United Nations Satellite Centre (UNOSAT).
