For the most accurate and up-to-date information on truck routes, please contact the appropriate road jurisdiction. This file consists of roads in Southeast Michigan that have been designated for year-round (all season) heavy duty truck use by the appropriate road jurisdiction. This file uses MGF V. 22 data and was validated against state and county truck operator maps. All-Season truck routes typically have higher pavement design standards and do not have legal axle weight restrictions during the annual spring thaw. "Restricted" truck routes have seasonal weight limits enforced during the annual spring thaw. County road commissions and city public works departments establish their own local restrictions. SEMCOG is currently coordinating with road owners to verify regional restricted routes for inclusion in this dataset moving forward.
