The dataset was originally published by the Wisconsin State Department of Health Services in November 2001.[This data layer is a point shapefile showing the distribution of WI hospitals as of 11/20/2001. It shows the result of geocoding the addresses from the WiDHFS hospital data set. It is referenced to the Wisconsin Transverse Mercator (WTM) projection system, North American Datum 1983 with the 1991 adjustment (NAD83/91). Some addresses are not geocoded to the street level due to inadequance of exact information.
