- This polygon data layer represents census blocks for Dane County, Wisconsin in 1990. The data set was originally published by the Wisconsin Department of Administration on March 21, 2001.[This data layer is a polygon shapefile of the 1990 U.S. Census blocks within the county, derived from the 2000 TIGER Line Files. It is referenced to the Wisconsin Transverse Mercator (WTM) projection system, North American Datum 1983 with the 1991 adjustment (NAD83/91).]
- Purpose
- This layer is intended for reference and mapping purposes and may be used for basic applications such as viewing, querying, and map output production or to provide a basemap to support graphical overlays and analysis with other spatial data. [For use with 1990 U.S. Census data at the block level. This data layer is for use in generalized mapping applications. The level of accuracy does not support detailed local analysis. The data layer is intended for use with GIS software.]
