This line data layer represents roads for Portage County, Wisconsin in 2001. The dataset was originally published by the Portage County Planning and Zoning Department in 2001.[The Centerline data set is a vector representation of center of pavement in the County of Portage, Wisconsin. The centerlines are digitized from 1:12000 digital orthophotography or entered by coordinate geometry.]
Purpose
This layer is intended for reference and mapping purposes and may be used for basic applications such as viewing, querying, and map output production or to provide a basemap to support graphical overlays and analysis with other spatial data. [These data are intended for use at a scale of 1:12000 or smaller. The data are designed for reference mapping and labelling.]
