Data is updated continuously based on approved development permits and staff site review. Biodiversity Areas defers from Parks and Open Spaces found under the Land Use Designations layer. Parks and Open Spaces include active use and passive parks and other areas that may be undeveloped but do not necessarily contain native vegetation at the level needed to qualify as a biodiversity area or corridor. This dataset is maintained by the City of Tacoma's Planning and Development Services department. Data Steward contact: Lisa Spadoni, Natural Resources Program Manager, lspadoni@cityoftacoma.org.
