U.S. Fish & Wildlife ServiceThe Upper Connecticut River Aquatic Organism Passage Working Group, composed of state and local partners, has worked to develop a list of priority culverts for replacement. The selected culverts maximize connectivity for Eastern brook trout and the replacement will improve natural stream function; interests from partner groups were taken into consideration during the review and selection process.
