Description
_Update Frequency: The vacant buildings data is recorded in Accela, a third party software. Data is extracted and loaded into the Open Data Portal using an automated process that runs daily. Once a property is marked as vacant in Accela, it can take up to 72 hours to be reflected on the Open Data Portal._ #Milwaukee's Vacant Building Code On January 1, 2010, the City's new Vacant Building Registration (VBR) ordinance Chapter 200-33-64 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances (MCO) took effect. The new VBR ordinance requires owner(s) of residential and commercial property left vacant for 30 days or more to register the property with the Department of Neighborhood Services (DNS) and take steps toward assuring the property is secure, properly maintained and not creating a hazard for the surrounding community. __To download XML and JSON files, click the CSV option below and click the down arrow next to the Download button in the upper right on its page.__
