Section 3 of the New Jersey Environmental Justice Law N.J.S.A. 13:1D-159 requires the NJDEP to "notify a municipality if any part of the municipality has been designated an overburdened community pursuant to this act". This data identifies municipalities that have a block group or Tribal Area meeting the census criteria for an Overburdened Community.
