MrSID imagery of Racine County for the year 2005. The color orthophoto files were compiled at one-inch-equals-200-feet (1" = 200') scale with a pixel resolution of twelve inches (12").The MrSID format files were prepared from mosaics of the GeoTIFF format files. Each color MrSID format file covers an area of one U.S. Public Land Survey System (USPLSS) township. The 59 MrSID format files contain imagery beyond the boundaries of the survey township and do overlap. The MrSID files have accompanying "world" (".sdw") files. This data set was collected to provide an inventory of orthophoto images in the Southeastern Wisconsin Region and to be used for broad regional planning purposes. The orthophoto images in this data set were prepared to meet National Map Accuracy Standards for one-inch-equals-200-feet scale (1:2400 scale) mapping. The resolution of each pixel in the files is twelve inches (12") on the ground (with the exception of the northern townships of Milwaukee County where the resolution of each pixel in the color orthophoto files is six inches [6"] on the ground). Therefore, ninety percent or more of all well-defined planimetric features visible in the orthophoto files are within approximately eight feet (8') of their true position on the ground.
