- This data layers represent addresses and driveways for Washburn County, Wisconsin in 2023.[This data set consists of digital map files containing addressing or site access information obtained by a combination of lab work using aerial imagery and gps collection of address sign. Features contained in the data set include all site access points countywide and associated attributes. Site access points sometimes are referred to as addresses, however this data typically represents the GPS location of the address sign. The Washburn County Land Information Office plans to maintain this digital data in ESRI's ArcGIS geodatabase environment using ArcMap tools. Some of the data was developed using field data collection techniques and field data collection will be used extensively to maintain the data. There are attributes in the data documenting each record source.]
- Purpose
- This data is intended for reference and mapping purposes, and may be used for basic applications such as viewing, querying, and map output production, or to provide a basemap to support graphical overlays and analysis with other spatial data. [There are numerous reasons for developing the site access feature class. 1) Existing address documentation; 2) Enhance methodology to issue new addresses; 3) Provide locational information for emergency services within Washburn County; 4) Publish hard copy map products like platbooks and emergency services atlases 5) Help maintain accurate parcel addresses in the property tax database; 6) Help improve the accuracy of the telephone company's ANI/ALI database 7) Many other uses in other County Departments]
