Abstract
This data layer represents zoning for Richland County, Wisconsin in 2019.
Purpose
This layer is intended for reference and mapping purposes, and may be used for basic applications such as viewing, querying, and map output production, or to provide a basemap to support graphical overlays and analysis with other spatial data. [The Land Use field which lies within the Parcel Feature Class was populated on 12-23-14 for the purpose of keeping track of Legal/Illegal parcels. The information was obtained from two 3-ring binders (which were kept by the Zoning Administrator) which have been in existence for many years. The 3-ring binders were titled "Legal/Illegal Non-Conforming Parcel Research". Most research was/is done by the Program Assistant. The categories for the Land Use field are as follows: Legal-NC = Legal Non-conforming; Illegal-NC = Parcel is illegal; Legal-Illegal = parcel is partially legal and partially illegal; Legal = Conforming or Non-conforming not mentioned in research; Researched = Research has been done determination not noted. There are many additional pages or information connected with that particular parcel. It is the hope to scan in these sheets and connect them to each particular incident.]
