[Trails are defined by the following attributes:PropertyName: Dane County Park System property or location on propertyPropertyClass: Dane County Park System Classification for park property - Recreation Park, Wildlife Area, Natural Resource Area, Historical or Cultural Site, Forest, Trail. For more information visit: https://www.danecountyparks.com/ParkSystem/Classification.TrailName: Trail name where availableSurfaceType: Predominant surface type of trail - Asphalt, Boardwalk/Bridge, Concrete (mainly next to buildings and shelters), Crushed Stone (mainly dog parks, more regional bike trails, maintenance access), Grass/Natural Earth (grass, natural surface with grass on either side, mtn bike trails are not included), Natural Earth (mainly reserved for Mtn Bike), Wood Chips, Wooden Steps.Type: Designated recreation type or maintenance access - Biking, Cross-country Skiing, Dog Park, Equestrian, Hiking, Maintenance Access, Snowshoeing. Purpose
This data is intended for reference and mapping purposes, and may be used for basic applications such as viewing, querying, and map output production, or to provide a basemap to support graphical overlays and analysis with other spatial data. [The CountyParkSystemTrails feature class contains lines features of trails in the Dane County Park System. These trails are designated maintained routes for specific recreational activities and/or maintenance access. Trails are located on Dane County Park System properties or easements managed by Dane County Parks. This data is intended for cartographic use and general spatial analyses.]
