Description
This layer contains abundance data for breeding northern pintail pairs. The data is used to inform the protection of wetland and grassland habitat important to breeding northern pintails.Breeding Bird Surveys have been conducted in North America since 1966 and are one of the longest running inventory and monitoring efforts conducted throughout the world. Data collected between 2005 and 2011 was used along with remotely sensed environmental data along with climatic data for each stop location. Landcover variables along with climatic variables helped create the predictive model.File-based data for download: https://www.sciencebase.gov/catalog/item/6201b7bbd34e622189dae62f
