UNOSATThis map illustrates satellite-detected flood water extent over the districts of Saakow and Bu'aale, Middle Juba, Somalia. The mostly affected areas are in the district of Saakow, where 365 km2 of land are flooded. In total, 19 settlements are within the inundated zones: 12 in Buaale and 7 in Saakow; however, more than 100 settlements, are within 500 meters distance from the flooded areas and might be affected due to the proximity to Juba River. This is a preliminary analysis and has not yet been validated in the field.
