Administrative, Watershed Tax District [Minnesota--Carver County]
Description:
Watershed tax districts are created by joining the GIS parcel feature class to the tax system watershed data, showing the boundaries of watersheds for taxation purposes. Boundaries were determined when watersheds in the county were legally established and are updated periodically via formal process that includes public notice and review, review and comment by affected municipalities, and review and approval by the Board of Soil and Water Resources. The Watershed Tax Layer approximates the hydrology boundaries of the watershed districts and watershed management organizations within the county. Determinations are based on the portion of a parcel draining to a watershed. For example, if 50% or more of a parcel drains to a water resource within the CCWMO, that parcel is assigned to the watershed tax district for the CCWMO
