City of Tacoma GISThis dataset is used in the Multi-Family Tax Exempt Projects Dashboard. It contains the locations of projects participating in the Multi-Family Property Tax Exempt Program. Please note that the parcel projects geographies may have changed since they were originally mapped. The Multifamily Property Tax Exemption Program is one way to encourage the development of multifamily units located in designated Residential Target Areas in Tacoma. The incentive exempts qualifying projects from property taxes on the assessed improvement value for 8, 12, or 20 years based on the level of affordability provided.
