UN Operational Satellite Applications Programme (UNOSAT)**UNOSAT code: TC20220221MDG** This map illustrates satellite-detected surface waters in Ifotaka commune, Amboasary-Atsimo district, Anosy region, Madagascar as observed from an RCM-2 image acquired on 28 February 2022 at 05:16 local time. Within the analyzed area of about 330 km2, about 13 km2 of lands appear to be flooded. Based on Worldpop population data and the detected surface waters, about 650 people are potentially exposed or living close to flooded areas.
