The Coastal Plain is bounded to the west by the mean high water line of the extreme left (west) banks of the Canning and Staines rivers, bounded to the south by the northern boundary of the Mollie Beattie Wilderness Area, bounded to the east by the mean high water line of the left (west) bank of the Aichilik River, and bounded to the north by the line of extreme low water of the Arctic Ocean, on the seaward (northern) side of the mainland and all offshore bars, reefs, islands, and spits.
