New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP), New Jersey Geological & Water Survey (NJGWS)This geodatabase contains the highest publicly accessible natural elevations ("high points") in each county in New Jersey. Five of New Jersey's 21 counties have landfills as their highest elevation. Due to the fact that these elevations can change substantially over short periods of time, they are not regarded as absolute high points in the dataset. Additionally, some of the highest points are on private land. These points were excluded from the dataset because the public do not have access to these high points.
