Five (5) foot interval elevation contours for King County, derived primarily on 2021 lidar. Above 1000 feet of elevation, the contour interval changes to ten (10) feet for legibility and drawing performance. The contour interval represents a best compromise between the vertical and horizontal accuracy of the source data and the need for a general use cartographic and analysis product. The data provide a reasonable depiction of the general shape of the land, useful for determining general landform, slope, and elevation. These contours are provided only as an interpretation of the earth's surface for reference use and do not replace the need for a professional land survey.</dc:description><dc:format>ArcGIS FeatureLayer</dc:format><dc:identifier>https://hub.arcgis.com/datasets/8cf686fec031433694a72191207dd221_0</dc:identifier><dc:language>eng</dc:language><dc:publisher>King County GIS Open Data</dc:publisher><dc:rights>Public</dc:rights><dc:title>Elevation Contour Lines for King County - 5 Foot Contours [Washington (State)--King County]</dc:title><dc:type>Web services</dc:type><dc:coverage>Washington (State)--King County</dc:coverage><dc:coverage>Washington (State)</dc:coverage><dc:date>Last Modified: 2025-07-24</dc:date></oai_dc:dc>
