- This data represents building footprints for Washburn County, Wisconsin in 2026.[The Building Footprints layer helps to provide polygon data for structural buildings that exist within Washburn County. It was created using previous data, land records information, and historical imagery. The data contains polygon features within Washburn County as well as the primary source for creating the footprint, max min and mean z-values, shape length and area, and editor information. The building footprints layer is updated and maintained continuously using the most current and available aerial photography and ArcGIS tools.]
- Purpose
- This data is intended for reference and mapping purposes, and may be used for basic applications such as viewing, querying, and map output production, or to provide a basemap to support graphical overlays and analysis with other spatial data. [There are numerous reasons for developing the building footprints feature class. 1) Existing address documentation; 2) Enhance methodology to issue new addresses; 3) Provide locational information for emergency services within Washburn County; 4) Publish hard copy map products like platbooks and emergency services atlases 5) Help maintain accurate parcel addresses in the property tax database; 6) Help improve the accuracy of the telephone company's ANI/ALI database 7) Many other uses in other County Departments]
