U.S. Fish & Wildlife ServiceHabita t protection tool output for the Vision for an Ecologically Sound Platte River Basin ( VESPR ) group. The tool was developed in cooperation with Rainwater Basin Joint Venture (RWBJV) using criteria identified by VESPR. These areas are used in conjunction with the conservation areas within the Central Platte River to identify priority areas for future conservation and restoration. Future additions potentially include management tracking data and tree canopy to allow adjustments to the habitat metrics over time.
