U.S. Fish & Wildlife ServiceThis dataset includes wood stork nesting colony locations and wood stork colonies that were active each year from 1970 to 2019 in 5 year average. The incomplete surveys years are as follows: 1970 ,1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000. The nest surveys data from multiple sources of active nests to estimate the number of breeding storks in a single year. The current breeding range now includes all of the plain of FL, GA, SC, and southeastern NC.
